Yes, the sweater is progressing only slowly… Well, I finished front and back of it and one sleeve is almost done, but I really thought I would get it done more quickly… But hey, since when do things go the way you think they’ll go? Sometimes I wonder who wrote the script to my life…

Hopefully I’ll get the sweater done within the next few weeks. And then I am starting a cardigan for KittyKat, a lace cardigan…

Weasly Sweater Inspired Jumper 3rd Try

As the title indicates I started my Weasly Sweater for Jules for the 3rd time and hopefully this time it will work out. Here are the first 2 pics of it:

Wrist Warmers inspired by Crystal Lake

Posted on

I just finished the shawl for my mother in law and since I had a lot of wool left, I decided to give wristwarmers a try. I love the pattern of the Crystal Lake Shawl and so- since I am really good in alternating given pattern ๐Ÿ˜€ – I addapted it to wrist warmers ๐Ÿ˜‰

I cast on 51 sts and did a repetition of 6 sets, then I put 17 sts on a holder for the thumb. I did a double repetition of the pattern to finish the hand and bound off loosely. Then I took the 17 sts for the thumb and picked up 4 extra sts, which I knitted only in knit sts. For the rest I used the pattern again. Finally I bound off again and wove in the ends.

… knitting, knitting, knitting….

I’m geting closer to the end, ahem, edge, of my mother- in- law’sย  shawl and I am starting to get excited about the following projects. I am thinking of doing a nother shawl for a ravelry group (aao5si2010= An Attempt of 5 Shawls in 2010), which my best friend and I have just founded. And off course I am still knitting on my version of a Weasly Sweater for Jules and of my first pair of socks and wristwamers. So many projects- so little time (although I am not working right now, due to my left Hallux Valgus ๐Ÿ˜ฆ ).

Maybe I should create a poll and let my readers decide? ๐Ÿ™‚

Crystal Lake Stole Part II

Here are the first two pics of the stole ๐Ÿ™‚

Crystal Lake Stole

Well I started this project of the Crystal Lake Stole right before Christmas, but only now, when I am not able to walk and work (due to a surgery on my left foot) I found the time and inspiration to continue it. Hopefully I’ll get it soon finished because I have already another project for a friend queued up ๐Ÿ˜‰

As usual I added a little alteration to the original pattern, I added a 4 stitches fringe all around and I am going to finish with the first 4 rows of purled stitches to have a neat looking frame all around the wavy lake pattern. Well, I’ll add pics as soon as I am finished with the stole ๐Ÿ˜€

I am using “Handstrickgarn 50g- 75% pure wool, 25% polyamide”, colour no:2 (dark brown) with a 5mm needle- to get an aerier result for the stole. But I guess you can use any wool you like ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the meantime, enjoy the snow and the hot chocolates ๐Ÿ˜‰

Knit On…

Yes, I am back again and maybe I am getting more regular again ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am still knitting my “Weasley- Sweater” for J. But I have finally finished KittyKat’s Jumper- she looks gorgeous in it, besides she seems to llok gorgeous in almost anything I put on her to wear… I guess it’s my loving Mother’s eye ๐Ÿ˜›

Maybe I am able to shoot some photos of KittyKat in her new sweater- but hey, we are going to a professional photographer on saturday. I hope Jules is going to be allright again then. He’s suffering from the good old fashioned influenca (not the new- modern pig-flue-thing!), but his fever is down already and so I am hoping he’ll be fine on saturday!
